2011 Woodland Trust Calendar
18/10/2010
I was very excited to learn that I had won a national competition that means one of my photographs will be on the cover of the Woodland Trust's 2011 Calendar
"Woodland Trust Photography Competition"
I've been a member of the Woodland Trust for many years and more recently I have been supporting them as a member of their Volunteer Photographer Scheme.
This year the Trust ran a competition to find photographs for their 2011 calendar and I was thrilled to be chosen as the winner with the photograph to the left. My photo of Wild Garlic will be on the cover of the calendar along with another two images inside the calendar.
While obviously I'm pleased to have won I'm also delighted that my photographs will be helping the Woodland Trust raise money for their work. Woodland is incredibly important in our small island, it provides essential habitat for animals, birds and plants and too much of it has disappeared. The more we can protect the better!
If you would like to learn more about the Woodland Trust there is a link on my Links page.
