The New Forest
The New Forest has been one of the country's favourite scenic areas for a long time, but has only recently become a National Park.
It is characterised by areas of ancient hunting forest and large heathlands. The forest is famed for its oak and beech trees, while the open spaces are home to free ranging ponies and cattle.
The New Forest is not far from where I live and in the last few years I have been visiting it more. This gallery is the result of those visits and I hope the images will provide a glimpse of the Forest's magic.
