Summer Downland

Received wisdom is that you shouldn't take photographs after ten o'clock because the light gets too harsh. To an extent that is true, but then how do you take a photograph of the English countryside in high summer? I think this image worked because the scattered clouds diffused the sunlight and reduced the brightness. I had to wait for a moment when the shadows of the clouds were in the right place and the breeze dropped enough to keep the cow parsley still.
